How the Price Table Works
Last updated: August 18, 2026
Every skin page on RustHub shows a table comparing what the same skin costs on different marketplaces right now. This page explains, in plain words, what is in that table and how it is ordered — so you can trust what you see.
1. Which marketplaces are listed, and why
The table currently compares prices from:
- Steam Community Market
- CSDeals
- DMarket
- RapidSkins
- Skinport
- Tradeit
A marketplace makes the list for one reason only: our market-data partner can reliably track its public, live Rust listings. No marketplace pays to be included, and none can pay to be excluded or moved.
A row only appears when that marketplace actually has the skin listed at that moment. That is why a brand-new skin may show just two or three rows (or a $0.00 price before trading opens), while a long-traded skin can show all six.
2. Where the prices come from
All prices are supplied by our partner market-data service, rust.scmm.app (SCMM), which continuously monitors the Steam Community Market and the third-party marketplaces listed above. RustHub does not set, estimate, or adjust any price — we display what the data feed reports, in USD. The “Cheapest,” “Highest,” and “Average” figures above each table are calculated from the rows shown.
3. How often prices update
Prices refresh throughout the day, typically about once an hour. A price can therefore briefly lag the marketplace it came from — a listing may sell, or be repriced, between refreshes. Always check the final price on the marketplace itself before you buy, sell, or trade.
4. How rows are sorted
Rows are always sorted by lowest live price first — the cheapest current listing sits at the top, the most expensive at the bottom. Sorting is automatic and based on price alone. For example:
| Marketplace | Price |
|---|---|
| Marketplace A — cheapest today, so it is first | $1.00 |
| Marketplace B | $1.20 |
| Marketplace C | $1.50 |
Illustrative example. Which marketplace is on top changes whenever prices change — position is never fixed.
5. Our neutrality rules
Inclusion and ranking are not for sale. No marketplace can pay for a place in the table or a better position in it.
Affiliate links don’t affect the table. Some outbound links may earn RustHub a commission if you buy after clicking. Commissions never influence which marketplaces appear, the prices shown, or the sort order.
Any exception will be labeled. If a sponsored placement, or a listing from a service owned by or affiliated with RustHub, ever appears in or next to a price table, it will be clearly labeled as such — and this page will be updated first to explain the rules for it.
