Terms of Service
Effective date: August 31, 2026 · Last updated: August 31, 2026
1. Who We Are; Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the website located at rusthub.com, including all pages, subdomains, data, tools, and content made available through it (collectively, the "Service").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required to use online services in your country, if higher) to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that, if you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
2. The Service Is Informational Only
The Service is a reference database ("wiki") for the videogame Rust. It provides information about in-game items and skins, including item statistics and game data, skin metadata (such as Steam Workshop identifiers, release dates, and marketability status), item-store rotations, and aggregated pricing information from third-party sources (collectively, "Site Data").
For the avoidance of doubt:
- The Service is not a marketplace. You cannot buy, sell, trade, deposit, withdraw, or exchange any item, skin, currency, or other thing of value through the Service.
- We do not process payments, hold funds, take custody of items or accounts, broker transactions, or act as agent for any party to a transaction.
- Any transaction you enter into on a third-party platform (such as the Steam Community Market or a third-party marketplace) is solely between you and that platform and/or its users, and is governed exclusively by that platform's terms.
3. No Affiliation With Facepunch, Valve, or Any Marketplace
The Service is an independent fan-made resource. It is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored, or approved by Facepunch Studios Ltd, Valve Corporation, or any marketplace, storefront, or other third-party service referenced on the Service.
- Rust and all related titles, logos, artwork, item designs, and game content are the intellectual property of Facepunch Studios Ltd and/or its licensors, including the community creators of Steam Workshop content.
- Steam, the Steam logo, and the Steam Community Market are trademarks and/or registered trademarks of Valve Corporation.
- All other names, marks, and logos appearing on the Service (including those of third-party marketplaces such as Skinport) are the property of their respective owners.
Such names and marks are used on the Service solely to identify and describe the games, items, and platforms concerned. No license, sponsorship, or endorsement is implied by their appearance on the Service.
4. Market Data; No Financial Advice
Pricing and market information displayed on the Service (including current prices, price comparisons, price history, sales volumes, and similar data, collectively "Market Data") is aggregated from third-party sources, including the Steam Community Market, third-party marketplaces, and our partner market-data service (rust.scmm.app). We do not originate Market Data and we do not verify it.
You acknowledge and agree that:
- Market Data is provided for general informational purposes only. It may be delayed, incomplete, estimated, or inaccurate, and may differ from prices actually available on any marketplace at any given time.
- Market Data does not constitute, and must not be relied upon as, financial, investment, trading, tax, or legal advice, or a recommendation, solicitation, or offer to buy or sell any item.
- The value of virtual items is volatile and may fall as well as rise. Historical prices are not indicative of future prices.
- Any decision you make in reliance on the Service — including any purchase, sale, or trade on a third-party platform — is made solely at your own risk, and you should independently verify current prices, fees, and terms on the relevant platform before transacting.
5. Third-Party Links; Affiliate Disclosure
The Service contains links to websites and services that we do not own or control, including the Steam Workshop, the Steam Community Market, third-party marketplaces, and our social media pages ("Third-Party Services"). We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, availability, terms, privacy practices, or conduct of any Third-Party Service. When you leave the Service, the terms and policies of the destination site govern, and we strongly advise you to read them.
Affiliate disclosure. Some outbound links on the Service may be affiliate or referral links, meaning we may receive a commission or other compensation if you click them or transact after clicking them, at no additional cost to you. Compensation does not influence the Market Data we display, but you should assume that links to marketplaces may be commercial in nature.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Our content
Excluding Game Content (defined below) and Market Data originating from third parties, the Service and all material we create or compile — including the RustHub name and logo, the design, look and feel, and code of the Service, our original text and descriptions, and the selection, arrangement, and compilation of the database made available through the Service — are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, database, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws.
We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service, and to view and make incidental personal copies of Site Data, for your personal, non-commercial use only. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. You may quote small excerpts of Site Data (for example, in forum posts, videos, or articles) with attribution and, where practicable, a link to the Service.
6.2 Game content
Item names, item descriptions, skin names, images and renders of in-game items and skins, and other assets originating from Rust or the Steam Workshop ("Game Content") are the property of Facepunch Studios Ltd and/or the respective Workshop creators. Game Content is displayed on the Service for identification, reference, and informational purposes. We grant you no rights in Game Content, and nothing in these Terms transfers or licenses any rights in Game Content to you.
6.3 Feedback
If you send us suggestions, corrections, or other feedback about the Service, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use that feedback for any purpose without obligation to you.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree that you will not, and will not assist or permit any third party to:
- scrape, crawl, harvest, or otherwise extract Site Data or Market Data from the Service in bulk or on a systematic basis, whether by automated means or otherwise, except for standard, good-faith indexing by public search engines in accordance with our robots.txt;
- use Site Data or Market Data to create, train, populate, or improve any competing database, product, dataset, or service, or republish or redistribute Site Data or Market Data on a commercial basis, in each case without our prior written consent;
- access the Service by automated means at a volume or frequency that places unreasonable load on our infrastructure, or circumvent any rate limit, access restriction, or technical protection measure;
- interfere with or disrupt the Service, probe or scan for vulnerabilities without authorization, or introduce any virus or other harmful code;
- frame or mirror the Service, or misrepresent your affiliation with us or the origin of any data obtained from the Service;
- use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation, or in connection with any fraudulent or deceptive activity; or
- remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notice on the Service.
We may investigate suspected violations of this Section and may block, throttle, or suspend access (see Section 13) and/or pursue any other remedy available to us.
8. Copyright Complaints (DMCA)
We respect intellectual-property rights and will respond to valid notices of claimed infringement consistent with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) and other applicable law. If you believe material on the Service infringes your copyright, please send a notice to our designated agent:
Copyright Agent: Email: business@rusthub.com
Your notice must include: (a) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; (b) identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with information reasonably sufficient to locate it on the Service (e.g., a URL); (c) your name, postal address, telephone number, and email address; (d) a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; (e) a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf; and (f) your physical or electronic signature.
We may remove or disable access to material that is the subject of a valid notice, and we may terminate access for repeat infringers. If you believe material you provided was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice containing the information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3) to the same address.
9. Availability and Changes to the Service
The Service is provided free of charge. We may modify, supplement, suspend, or discontinue the Service or any part of it (including any dataset, feature, or page) at any time, with or without notice, and we may impose limits on use or restrict access in whole or in part. We have no obligation to maintain, update, correct, or continue to provide any particular data or feature, and we accept no liability for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service, the Site Data, and the Market Data are provided "as is" and "as available," with all faults and without warranty of any kind. We expressly disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, accuracy, quiet enjoyment, and non-infringement, and any warranties arising out of course of dealing or usage of trade.
Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free; that any data (including Market Data) will be accurate, complete, current, or reliable; that defects will be corrected; or that the Service is free of viruses or other harmful components. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will RustHub or its owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, or suppliers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, savings, goodwill, data, or opportunity, or for the value of any virtual item or any trading or purchasing decision, arising out of or in connection with the Service or these Terms, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), statute, or any other legal theory, and whether or not we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100) and (b) the amounts you have paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including, where applicable, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
12. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless RustHub and its owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, and suppliers from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use or misuse of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms or of any applicable law; (c) your violation of any right of a third party; or (d) any transaction you enter into on a Third-Party Service. We reserve the right, at your expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, in which case you agree to cooperate with our defense.
13. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend, restrict, block, or terminate your access to all or any part of the Service at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice, including where we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections 3–6, 8, and 10–16 survive any termination of these Terms or of your access to the Service.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when the current version took effect. If a revision is material, we will take reasonable steps to give advance notice — for example, by posting a prominent notice on the Service. Changes will not apply retroactively. By continuing to use the Service after revised Terms take effect, you agree to be bound by them; if you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.
15. General Provisions
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings on that subject.
- Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that right or provision.
- Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any rights under them without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- No third-party beneficiaries. These Terms do not confer any rights on any third party, except that Facepunch Studios Ltd, Valve Corporation, and our licensors are intended beneficiaries of the disclaimers in Sections 3 and 6.2.
- Force majeure. We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages of third-party data sources, hosting or network failures, denial-of-service attacks, acts of government, or other force-majeure events.
- Headings. Section headings are for convenience only and have no legal effect.
